5 Steps To Make Money On YouTube
Millions of people post videos on YouTube in hopes of becoming rich and famous. If you’re one of those people, you may be wondering how exactly people make money on YouTube. It’s not an exact science. However, there are some crucial things that pretty much every viral video maker does.

Here are five of those things:

1. Post engaging content.

Your YouTube videos have no chance of going viral unless they’re interesting, innovative, or funny. Look at other popular YouTube videos and analyze what the creators of them are doing. For instance, if you want to post funny videos about current events, figure out what kind of current events stories are most interesting to people, based on the popularity of other videos.

2. Tweet about your videos.

This is a simple way to promote your YouTube videos. Establish an active Twitter account, and follow everyone you know. Tweet about interesting and amusing things to attract followers to your page. Once you have about a hundred followers, start posting links to your YouTube videos. If just 50 of your Twitter followers watch the video and tell their friends about it, your video can spread to more and more people pretty fast.

3. Make sure you don’t violate any copyright laws in your video.

YouTube will not pay you for anything that infringes on the intellectual property rights of another party. Justin Bieber didn’t make a dime off the viral videos that made him famous because he was singing covers of songs without permission from the songs’ musical artist owners.

4. Apply for revenue sharing.

Once one of your videos has received a large amount of views, you’ll receive an email from representatives at YouTube. This email will ask you to apply for revenue sharing for that particular video. If you apply for revenue sharing, you’ll be able to make a portion of what YouTube makes off the video (thanks to ads on the site that your video viewers may click).

5. Upload plenty of videos.

The only way you’ll be able to make money on YouTube long-term is to attract a steady amount of viewers to your YouTube videos on a regular basis. The more videos you post, the more likely it is that people will find your videos and that you’ll be able to develop a group of followers that regularly watches your videos.

6. Apply to YouTube’s Partner Program.

Once you have posted around 100 relatively successful (in terms of page views) videos, apply for YouTube’s Partner Program. If you are accepted to the program, YouTube will allow you to share the revenue of every single video you post, even the ones that don’t go completely viral. Once you’re a member of the Partner Program, you won’t have to apply for revenue sharing for your individual videos anymore. You’ll just accrue money on every video you post effortlessly.
